01Is the Pattern Analysis Report really free?
Yes. It is yours to keep, and no tutoring purchase is required. We build it from a completed UpstartPrep diagnostic or from recent test results and missed-question work.
02Do we need to choose a plan before the consultation?
No. Bring the current score, target score, test date, and anything the student has already tried. We will recommend the most sensible range; your family makes the final decision.
03Why do program rates change with the commitment?
Flexible tutoring is $200 per hour. Each named plan leads with its total, and longer plans carry a modestly lower per-hour rate because we can plan the teaching arc and reserve the teaching team’s schedule more efficiently. The level of support does not change.
04How do practice tests and debriefs work?
Students can complete available practice tests without a per-test charge. When a tutor proctors, scores, or debriefs a test live, that work is scheduled within the purchased program hours so the total stays transparent.
05How does the free report work for each exam?
SAT families can complete the full online diagnostic now. For ACT, ISEE, SSAT, and HSPT, we can begin the free report from a recent official or practice test plus the student’s missed-question work while the full online diagnostic paths are added.
06Can we build a smaller plan?
Yes. Choose any whole number from 1 to 9 private hours at $200 per hour. If you later move into a larger program, the custom hours already completed count toward it and their payments are credited to the published program total.
07How can we pay?
Checkout is securely hosted by Stripe. Families can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, or Amazon Pay when that option is available on their device and browser. Applicable taxes, when required, appear before payment. Stripe emails the receipt after payment.
08What if we need to cancel or stop tutoring?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before a session and the time returns to your balance. We restore the first late-cancelled hour once as a courtesy. If you stop tutoring, every unused hour is refundable at the actual hourly rate you paid, with no retroactive repricing or hidden fees.
09What happens if a session is missed?
Sessions are online and we send reminders to both the student and the parent before each one. A session missed without notice is charged in full. If something genuine happens, tell us and we will look at it.
